Annual Flowers & Vegetables
     Line sides and bottom of plant holes (or furrows) with 1 to 2 inches of worm castings. Place seeds or plants in place and cover with soil. Top dress the soil with a 1/2 cup of worm castings per plant or 1 cup per linear foot every 2 months during the growing season.

Potted Plants & Seed Flats - New
     Mix 3 parts soil to 1 part worm castings.

Potted Plants, House Plants & Hanging Baskets
     Add 1 to 2 inches of worm castings to the top of the soil and mix in to surface of soil without damaging the roots. Water as usual. Reapply every 2 - 3 months.

Perennials
     Use 1/2 cup of worm castings and work into the soil above the root area. Take care not to damage the roots. Apply in springtime, summer and in early fall.

Trees, Shrubs & Roses - New
     Dig hole as directed for plant type, place nursery stock in hole. Mix 3 parts soil and 1 part of worm castings, spread around the outside of the hole, top-off with soil and water as directed.

Shrubs & Roses - Established
     Work 4 cups of worm castings into the top 2 to 3 inches of soil around the plant.

Lawn - New
     Apply approximately 10 pounds of worm castings per 100 square feet. Work into the top 1 to 2 inches of topsoil. Apply grass seed and water according to seed directions.

Lawn - Established
     Use 4 pounds of worm castings per 100 square feet. Spread evenly across the top.
